OUR MISSION
ABOUT OUR WORK
The Bee Foundation was established by 5th-generation beekeepers and owners of Sweet Bee Honey Company. Last year, we constructed a five mile long educational walking path and planted over 60 acres of pollinator habitat outside of Milton-Freewater, Oregon. With your support, we can expand that habitat even further.
GivinG FAQS
-
You can thank pollinators for about a third of the food you eat! Animals like bees, butterflies, birds, bats, and more are crucial to the function of our ecosystems and agriculture. Human impacts, such as habitat loss and degradation, chemical pollution, and climate change are putting their populations under stress.
-
Habitat restoration, education, and advocacy for pollinators are our top priorities. We are currently fundraising to create signage for our guided hiking trail along a five mile stretch of restored pollinator habitat. When completed, this walking path will be available for public use and feature educational signage to help visitors familiarize themselves with local ecology, including native plant identification.
