Not much is certain in the world, but you can rely on us for a healthy hive to begin your beekeeping journey.
We sell nucleus hives every year on May 1st at 7:30pm pacific time. Pick up is from our farm.

Our nucleus hives come in a reusable wooden box that you can keep for your own future splits or return to us for a hive box refund.

In our hives you will get healthy worker bees, a freshly mated queen, and brood. The frames are standard deeps and will transfer seamlessly into your equipment.
Note: Our frames are commercial style deeps. These frames do not fit in a top bar hive.

You hive will come with an internal feeder that you can use year after year to aid your bees through the cooler months.

A: Moving hives during the day is not recommended because most forager bees are outside the hive, leading to confusion and potential loss.
It’s best to move hives at night or early morning when all bees are inside to minimize disruption and ensure a smoother relocation.

A: In short, no . If you prefer to wait, place your nucleus as close to where you will permanently keep the hive. You can transfer the bees into your own equipment anytime in the next 7 days.
